Water harvesting and reuse
Unity Park Biofiltration and Research, SA
Client: City of Salisbury
A component of the Dry Creek and Unity Park harvesting project is research into the best configuration for biofiltration for stormwater treatment specifically for ASR. DesignFlow are commissioned by City fo Salisbury to conduct the research.

The research site include of 6 x 200 m2 bio-filtration cells that are extensively instrumented to allow real time flow and water quality data to be collected for each cell. The cells are arranged into three pairs. Each pair of cells has a different combination of filtration media and plant mix, flow distribution, and saturated zone at the base of the filtration beds. Designing the cells in this way, and installing extensive monitoring equipment ,will facilitate research to demonstrate the most efficient configuration for large scale biofiltration treatment of stormwater for ASR in South Australia.
