Constructed 10 years ago to provide amenity for residents, the lake was in poor condition due to significant siltation, poor water quality, and the presence of aquatic weeds. The lake rectification design restored most of the system to an ephemeral wetland (its pre-development state) and created a smaller lake that receives treated water from sediment basins and a wetland.
